So  apparently turning your Christmas tree upside down is a thing now.

From the trendiest hotels, to shopping centres, Christmas trees are being suspended from the ceiling or being mounted by the tip.

Upside down Christmas trees have an ancient history however. In eastern Europe, upside down trees were suspended from the roof as a symbol of the holy trinity.

These traditions have changed over time however and it is now thought that the tree should be pointing upwards to heaven. This has led some to question whether the practise of turning a Christmas tree upside down is disrespectful.

We have to admit though, some of the creations are fabulous. It's especially handy if have small children in the house who might be tempted to play with the tree decorations.

So what do you think? A catching trend or a passing phase?
