With the summer in full swing and the kids about to finish up school, many mums will be going through a world wind of emotions as the big day approaches. While the holidays are a great way to catch up on family time, with them comes many, many positives and negatives!

If your child’s school is about to close for the next few weeks, don’t be surprised if you start feeling these ten emotions over the following days!

1. Excitement

With a list as long as your arm full of fun and exciting things to do, you are excited about the next few months.

2. Envy

As you think back to your adventurous summer holidays, you long to be a kid again!

3. Fear

What if they get bored? What if it rains? How on earth am I going to stay sane?!

4. Stress

You only have two months to get their books and stationary ready before they head back...

5. Anticipation

You’re excited about the next few weeks, but you’re also pretty worried something is going to go wrong!

6. Frazzled

You have nothing ready and they’re off next week!

7. Trepidation

Will this summer be like last when it literally rained for the whole time and you broke up more sibling fights than you care to realise?

8. Hopeful

This year is going to be different: there’ll be no fights or rain and you’re going to catch up on a lot of family-quality time!

9Guilt

Guilt that unlike Jimmy or Sally’s family who will be spending the holidays soaking up some rays in the South of France, yours will be camped out in the 20-year-old caravan.

10. Relief

Spending the evenings making lunches and the weekends cleaning uniforms are done for the next couple of months. Whoop!
