5. Ice Age: Continental Drift
This is the fourth movie in the Ice Age franchise, so if you haven’t seen the earlier ones you might want to have a movie marathon day. This is suitable for the whole family.
6. How to Train your Dragon
When a young boy strikes up an unlikely friendship with a dragon, he must change the ways of his village before it is too late.
7. Up
Up is a film of love, laughter and fulfilling dreams. It will leave you in tears while you laugh your heart out. Perfect for the whole family.
8. Saving Mr Banks
This Disney film is great for sharing with older kids. It tells the story of how Mary Poppins made it to the big screen and will really open up your eyes to how much of a struggle it was.
9. Harry Potter
There are eight movies but they are definitely worth spending the day watching – although you may not want to watch them all in one go. The movies are suitable for older kids as they can be quite long and scary in parts.
10. Chicken Run
Chicken Run came out in 2000 so your kids have probably never seen it. Following the story of chickens trying to escape from a chicken farm, it will leave everyone rolling around in laughter.
