When you tell friends and family that you are expecting again, sometimes their reaction can be predictable, while other times some mums can be left feeling pretty shocked.

Here are 11 things you are likely to hear when you announce you are expecting again:

"Wow, you’ll have two kids to handle"
Just in case you couldn’t add, or that you forgot you already had a child.

"You might finally have a boy/girl"
Why are other people hoping that you are having a boy/girl?

"It will be so much harder with two kids"
This is probably the last thing you want to hear, but people will say it to you. Just to reiterate the fact that two kids are more work than one – as if you hadn’t already guessed that.

"Nobody will want to babysit two kids"
Probably, not but being told you have to say goodbye to your social life, just because you ae having another child doesn’t seem fair, right?

"But you just lost your baby weight from your last pregnancy"
Hopefully, no one outside your family will say this to you.

"Was it planned?"
This is usually said if it is your third child. Are they after a detailed report of your sex life?

"How are you going to cope?"
You will cope just like the other million women who also have more than one child. You are not the first.

"Can you afford another one?"
Wow, personal.

"Take it you won’t be going back to work?"
Why this is anyone’s business – apart from your boss- is baffling, there are childminders and maybe you don’t want to go back anyway.

"Where will you put it?"
Well considering they are only tiny you’re pretty sure they will fit in the house somewhere.

"Have you told your other kids?"
Because hiding a huge belly is fairly easy with nosey children going around.
