While it is commendable to teach your child that there is more to life than money, there is no denying that it definitely makes the world go around.
Money does not grow on trees and if you want your little one to never be without, then teach them the following three VERY important things.
1. Teach them to love work
Nobody made money by sitting on their bum and watching it roll in – your child will need to work hard for it. Be positive about your own job (if you have one), and never talk about working in any kind of negative light; kids are like sponges - they soak up everything around them – so always be encouraging about working.
2. Get them into saving
Getting your little one into the habit of saving from a very young age is one of the most important things you as a parent can do. If they want to buy a certain things encourage them to save for it rather than borrowing money – you can’t be a millionaire if you have a huge debt hanging over your head...
3. Encourage their ambition and drive
In order to make your millions you need drive and ambition; whether they get rich by creating their own website, coming up with some fabulously slick invention or working their way up the career ladder they will need a lot of drive to help them achieve their goals.
