1. Ring around when renewing insurance

Don’t just accept the insurance quote you are given; ring around and use price compare websites to find the best bargain possible. Even if you just save yourself a tenner a month, that’s £10 in YOUR pocket.

2. Change service providers

You don’t get paid for loyalty in this world, but you will feel the benefits if you move electricity company or even phone company. Companies activately seek new customers which puts in you in a better position to get more for your money.

3.  Pay more than the minimum requirement

Paying off just the minimum requirement when it comes to your credit card means you will never clear it off. And if you do you will be shocked at how much interest you will have occurred. Sometimes switching cards or even banks can make a huge difference to how much interest you pay so have a look around.

4. Create weekly meal plans

Spend a little time making meal plans for the week and do one big shop rather than small, daily ones. This way you will be able to batch cook and freeze your meals. saving you time AND money.

5. Sell the things you no longer need

If you're guilty of throwing things away that you no longer need why not try to flog them online? People are always looking for bargain dresses, shoes, handbags, and even baby items, and you will make a few bob doing very little really.
