Like ‘autumn,’ ‘February’ and ‘believe,’ some words are hard to get the hang of spelling.
So we don’t blame this poor little boy who made an awful mess when trying to spell the word ‘cinnamon’ on his worksheet.
The work was part of an exercise asking children to use their senses to figure out whether a smell was good or bad, and to identify different scents. The young student chose a pretty unfortunate way to spell his chosen word though… writing ‘semen’ instead. Oops.
His teacher did his best to help him out, writing the correct spelling of the word on the line above… but we reckon it will be a few years before the little guy realises just how significant an error he made!
