Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, the actor paid tribute to Kristen after delivering their second daughter, Delta.
“Kristen, God bless her, was in labour for 33 hours,” he said, comparing her 15-hour labour with first child Lincoln as “child’s play”.
The notoriously funny actor added that watching Kristen give birth was equally as traumatic for him, admitting that he thinks it’s high time that fathers are provided with something to calm their nerves!
Recalling the moment that he watched Kristen deliver Delta, Dax revealed that he wasn’t in the better of the scene playing out before his eyes.
“So there’s a sheet and then they go, ‘The baby’s here!’ Then you peek around the sheet and they’re lifting out the baby, but then you notice your wife is completely disassembled,” said the 40-year-old.
He added: “I was like, ‘It’s a girl! Your liver’s out, I think. And those are definitely your intestines. Snd she has…are you alright?! Oh my god, put her back together correctly!’”
It sounds like a fairly accurate account of how we mums are feeling!
