She gave birth to her second child back in December, and finally Grey’s Anatomy star Sarah Drew has introduced her daughter to the world.

The star, who recently welcomed daughter Hannah Mali Rose with husband Peter Lanfer, posed for beautiful family photos in People magazine this week.

Best known for her role as Dr. April Kepner on the show, the 34-year-old revealed that her early labour - over three weeks ahead of schedule - came as quite the shock.

“I was in total denial that it was happening. All of the baby stuff was in boxes in the basement and there was nothing prepared,” she said.

Sarah, who is also mum to three-year-old son Micah Emmanuel, said that she was “beside herself” with worry after going on to learn that little Hannah was facing serious health complications after the birth.

“Her lungs were not totally ready to be outside of the womb, plus she had issues with blood sugar because I had gestational diabetes. It’s the worst thing in the world because you go into hospital and you expect to leave with your baby. We didn’t know how long she would have to be there,” she added.

After 11 days in a neonatal intensive care unit, little Hannah was able to come home and is now “100 percent in the clear”.

We’re glad to hear that mum and baby are doing well. Hannah is just gorgeous!
