There's some happy baby news this morning, as it's been revealed that actress Gaby Hoffmann has welcomed a baby girl.

The star, best known for her role as Caroline on HBO's Girls as well as childhood parts in Sleepless in Seattle, Uncle Buck and Now and Then, is now the proud mum of a daughter named Rosemary.

Gaby reportedly had a home birth almost a month ago but she and her boyfriend Chris Dapkins chose to keep the news under wraps until this week.

Both mum and daughter are "healthy and doing great," according to Gaby's rep.

In a case of art imitating life, Gaby recently played pregnant characters in two separate projects - both on Girls and in an indie horror film called Lyle. "I don’t know if the universe was telling me something or if I was telling the universe something," she said in a recent interview. "I’ve been very excited to have children for a long time."

The 32-year-old announced her pregnancy back in June when she showed off a baby bump at a film screening in Los Angeles, with a source saying Gaby was "thrilled."

We wish the doting parents all the best!
