Author of The Spinning Heart and The Thing About December, Tipperary born writer Donal Ryan's new novel, All We Shall Know, is breathtaking, vivid and truly moving, and the perfect book to snuggle up to this autumn.

His latest work follows the life of Melody Shee who, after having an affair with her 17-year-old pupil, is left alone after her husband, obviously, doesn't take the news well.

She is also fearful of telling her dad, as the news could break him, but the future is looming.

Melody tries to stay in the present but her past, and what she did to Breedie Flynn all those years ago still haunts her, and the future is getting bigger by the minute.

But then Melody bumps into Mary Crothery, a young Traveller who knows more about Melody than she is letting on. In fact, she knows enough to maybe be able to save her life.

Written in first person format in parts, the story dives deep into Melody's mind, allowing the reader to feel her every emotion as she grapples to get by in her new chapter.

Published by Penguin, it will be available from Thursday, 22nd September
