BBC is bringing Watership Down to your screens this Christmas

There's nothing better than good Christmas TV.

BBC are known for their stellar offerings each year and 2018 is no different.

Among Agatha Christie adaptations and Mrs Brown's Boys is a gem that is definitely worth watching during the holidays.

A star studded version of Watership Down will be hitting our screens on BBC One.

By star studded, we mean that it will be featuring the voices of  James McAvoy, Nicolas Hoult, John Boyega, Olivia Coleman, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, and Peter Capaldi.

Yes, we are excited.

Based on the best-selling book by Richard Adams and the iconic 1978 movie, this version will be made up of two feature-length episodes.

The lead rabbit brothers Hazel and Fiver are voiced by James and other supporting cast members include Mackenzie Crook, Rosamund Pike and Gemma Chan.

Get the mice pies in and put on the fire, it's going to be a cosy Christmas in front of the television.
