When nine-year-old Kolt Kyler was asked by his dad, Andy, to work on something that would take him all day, the youngster volunteered straight away.

However, what he didn’t realise was that his dad had something up his sleeve, and rather than a day of work planned, he was actually off to see his favourite baseball club play!

In a video posted to Twitter by his half-sister Hannah Himes, you can see how willing the little boy from Indiana is to help his dad.

"Surprised with Cubs tickets for working hard at school, on the farm, and on the baseball field He may or may not be their biggest fan!"

Thanking his son for all his hard work on the farm, Andy hands him an envelope containing two tickets to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs play.

“He had a double header that morning/afternoon, he mowed our grandma's yard and then came home for chores and that's when he got his surprise,” said Hannah, according to Yahoo News!

“Before he was given the tickets he was asked if he would help with something that would take a whole day to do, and not knowing what it was he still volunteered to help. I think more people in the world should take note of Kolt's work ethic, attitude, and thankfulness.”

Explaining how he cried when he received a Cubs T-shirt for Christmas, Hannah added that the youngster is always grateful for everything he gets so his “thankfulness wasn't a surprise”.

The game will take place on June 3rd.

What a brilliant little boy!
