When 10-year-old Jacob O’Connor from Baltimore found his two-year-old brother, Dylan, face down in their grandmother's pool, he knew exactly what to do.

He pulled the little boy from the pool and started doing CPR and chest compressions on him.

The youngster had seen Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s popular movie San Andreas, and clearly took away more from the movie than most of us probably did: how to perform CPR.

‘The Rock’ took to Instagram recently to share the incredible story, inviting the youngster to meet him in Vancouver.

Speaking into the camera about Jacob’s bravery, the 45-year-old said: “He learned how to do this by watching this big, brown tattooed guy in his favourite movie, San Andreas.

“Jacob, I’m so proud of you so much so that I’ve got to meet you. I’ve got to shake the hands of a real-life hero.”

Talking to ABC2 News, the brave boy described the scene in the movie, which spurred him into action when he found his brother.

“There was an earthquake, then it caused a tsunami and then there was a daughter that was drowning and he had to get her out and he did the same thing.”

Thankfully, young Dylan is said to be doing well after being admitted to hospital.

What an incredibly brave boy; well done, Jacob!
