However, while X Factor star Dermot admits that he is keen to start a family with his wife of two years, there is one thing holding them back – Dee is just too busy.
In an interview with Fabulous magazine, the 41-year-old said: “I definitely want kids, but I’ve got a very busy wife with a very busy life.”
“It’s not fair for me to say, ‘I want kids now’. I do want kids with my wife, but I want them when we both think it’s the right thing to happen,” he added.
Just to highlight how busy their life is, Dermot admitted that he and Dee were so preoccupied recently that they both completely forgot to mark their second wedding anniversary.
“Circumstances and life takes over and, before you know it, you haven’t seen each other properly for a week or two,” said Dermot.
No doubt Dermot has got the baby bug after being around X Factor mogul Simon Cowell, who became a doting dad to son Eric last year. The reality show judge, who frequently gushes over his son, recently credited his little one with helping him to overcome his depression.
