When our children are young, we monitor their internet use, police their contribution to social media and generally keep abreast of their life outside the family home.
But what happens when your child eventually reaches adulthood? Your control and power may wane, but your curiosity and enthusiasm to keep on top of their comings and goings certainly doesn't, right?!
So, when a group of mothers were given access to their adults son's phones, it's no surprise the moment was peppered with squeals of outrage, mumbled sentiments of disapproval and, perhaps most touchingly, genuine and heartfelt words of advice.
We may have authority over their phones now, but there will come a time when venturing past the security code will be like opening the door to Narnia...
