Seeing your child off to college is one of the hardest things you will do as a parent.

They have become proper adults, who are embarking on an adventure without your help, and you're a full emotional wreck.

Nicole Walters felt the same way when she dropped her 18-year-old daughter off to university.

She cried in the car on the way home, her baby girl was all grown up.

But the great thing about technology these days is being able to keep in contact, regardless of distance.

However, when her daughter failed to respond to her mum for almost three days, taking part in a small bit of classic ghosting, her mum was far from impressed.

Nicole was so put out by her daughter's actions she decided to take matters into her own hands.

Mum and Dad hopped back into their car and right back to their daughter's college dorms to check in on her, making sure she understood they did not approve of her lack of contact.

Nicole decided if she was paying for her daughter's tuition, her 18-year-old did not have permission to ignore her parents - no apparently 'not today'.

Mum and Dad also made posters, hanging them up around campus, offering free pizza and Starbucks to any student who finds their girl and makes them aware of her whereabouts!

Oh the embarrassment! Let this be a lesson to all the teens out there - your parents will always find out what you're up to!
