Police in Derbyshire have appealed to the public for help following the disappearance of an 18-year-old girl in the early hours of this morning.

According to reports, Hannah Cross' mother contacted authorities after her daughter went missing from a friend's house in Ilkeston earlier today,

Appealing to the public for assistance, Derbyshire Police released a statement, saying: "Police are extremely concerned for the safety of 18-year-old Hannah Cross who is missing from her home in Heanor."

Elaborating on the details of Hannah's disappearance, they continued: "Hannah was reported missing by her mum this morning after she went missing from the home of a friend in Ilkeston sometime between 2.30am and 5am today."
 


The teenager, who works in KFC, is said to have been wearing her work uniform and a distinctive jacket with a fur hood and a black, pink, purple and grey pattern at the time of her disappearance.

Hannah is described as being five foot six inches in height, of slim build with long blonde hair.

Authorities, who believe Hannah may be in the Shipley Park area, have urged members of the public to come forward with any information which may lead to Hannah's safe return.

Update: Derbyshire police have since confirmed that Hannah has been located.
