Ecooutfitters is a new project set up by Marina & Irina, two mums, passionate about improving the quality of the clothing our kids spend so much time in.
The project came about when their children started in primary school. Dressing little kids, who are running around all day, getting hot and sweaty, in polyester trousers and polycotton polo shirts did not appeal to them. Surprised by the lack of availability of school uniform made from organic cotton or any other sustainably produced natural fibers, Marina and Irina, embarked on the mission to fill this void.
Ecooutfitters aspire to spread the message that sustainable living is not a luxury, and can be applied to everyday live, and everyday items. Their mission is to end the hypocrisy where by we teach our children about the green/sustainable living, while, at the same time, dressing them in clothes made from unsustainable, and unhealthy fabrics. By offering parents a choice of eco-friendly and ethically produced school uniform, which is practical and durable too, Ecooutfitters are challenging the belief that school uniform should, and can only be made of cheap polycotton, polyester, or acrylic.
