I'm quite funny about cakes - I really enjoy my coffee and cake moments but really hate when I buy cakes that I subsequently find are stale. So to be honest, I was a bit nervous about doing this as I was afraid that I was just going to be a negative Nelly. However I'm delighted to report that I'm giving these cakes the big thumbs up. They were fresh and delicious little morsels of enjoyment. My flavour preference has to be banana but the kids enjoyed all of them. I'd definitely buy them again and recommend them too.

I have 4 boys ranging from toddler to teenager, along with my GM so we embarked on this trial with a game plan. As my boys are always hungry we laid them out on the table for fun over 2 days - one was a school day and the other a Saturday. I had mine with a cuppa and the kids had theirs after school on the first day with milk - we usually do a quick snack after school so instead of a biscuit they had their cake. The boys LOVED them - they've already had me buy them again since. Their favourite variety is divided between chocolate (x 2 boys) and strawberry (x 2 boys). I like them for different reasont that the kids - the little individual portions are really handy and they keey them fresh. I liked all of the flavours but my husband is a choc-a-holic through and through so that was his favourite. Thanks for including us - would recommend them to a friend.

Grew up eating mr kipling cakes in our house on a sunday. Ate checkered cake with marzipan - think it was called battenburg cake and cherry bakewells. My poor mum could n't bake - she was more of a savoury cook so the cakes were always bought. When I saw this chance to eat mr kipling again, I just had to try. Me and the 3 kids ate them. We loved them all to be sure - I had mine for elevenses and the kids had them after school too like some of the other mums here. We loved them all - most favourite variety if we really had to pick was banana but we really liked them all. Would tell friends to buy and recommend too.

Thanks for sending these out. I liked them as did my 8 year old daughter too. I'd often buy a box of french fancies but have never bought these kind of individually wrapped little slices of cake. I never really thought of them. We really liked them - we especially liked the chocolate and strawberry - our least favourite was banana if we had to pick one but we ate all of them over 2 weeks. We didn't really have set time to enjoy them either - my daughter described them as delicate little bakery type cakes but without the effort of baking them LOL! We will buy them again along with our french fancies and I would recommend them also.

thanks for these cakes. I liked them. I would have liked more to really get a good feeling for them. We have 6 children so we ate them in one go - we took them out on a picnic with us and after a good walk when everyone was really hungry we ate them. The children liked the independence of opening them themselves. We liked all of the varieties but the children wanted me to say that they'd like a 'lemonade' type and also a 'coca cola' type too. Just in case the people who decide the flavours are reading this. After trying them we've already bought them again.

I love this product can not belive I have not heard of them before, myself my husband and my 21 month all tired them and they definetly where a hit, we all enjoyed the strawberry one and the banana one as you could really taste the flavours from them the chocolate one was not as strong and was our least favourite one. I would definetly recomend them to family and friends and will be buying them for my family.

Hi sorry took awhile to write feedback been on holiday but here it is,
my partner and children were really excited about trying the new milkshake flavour cakes from Mr Kipling, both my children love the angel slices and wanted to try the milkshake flavours. After opening the parcel they both picked out their favourite flavour my daughter went straight for strawberry which she was really tastes the cake was very moist and she couldn't what for another. My son loves banana milkshake so went straight for that flavour he said it was just like a banana milkshake he ate two cakes together as he needed to have another to make sure it was that nice. Me and my partner tried the chocolate and vanilla cake which was good but not as chocolately as I would have liked

We shared each flavour together and decided strawberry was the winner for us, with chocolate & vanilla second, & banana in third.
The packaging was lovely & attractive.
We would defiantly buy again & would recommend to all.

Hi thank you for choosing me and my family to trial these yummy Mr Kipling Slices. We are quite a Mr Kipling cake obsessed family and I think we all have our own different favourites, so initially I thought me and my family would find this one tricky.

I absolutely loooovvee Chocolate so I assumed the Choc/Vanilla would be my favourite but no i'd say 8/10 for that one, infact my favourite was the Banana a certain 10/10 for this one, Strawberry I could take it or leave it, but not to say that it wasn't nice also, if a subtle flavour.

My other half was not keen on the Banana or Strawberry but infact the Chocolate/Vanilla was his winner, and he enjoyed taking one to work in his lunch box.

As my childrens schools are healthy eating orientated, they could'nt take them into school but loved munching them as a treat after tea time, all 3 of them agreed they're fave was the Strawberry, and reminded them in their words of Strawberry ice-cream.

We have all agreed that I now have to buy these as a regular treat for my children, and my other half :) I have highly recommended these to friends and family, and would happily sample anymore of Mr Kipling's cakes. And strongly recommend them to anyone to try, you won't be disappointed - there's a flavour for everyones tastes.

We have treat Friday in our house and since they tested these, it's what they've been asking for every week.

I am very familiar with Mr Kipling and often buy them, but hadn't heard of these new Milkshake Slices until I saw them here.
We tested each flavour and decided the chocolate ones were our favourite.
As a mum of boys who seem to have a bottomless pit when it comes to food, I'm very conscious of watching what (and how much) they eat. So having these little treats, in a small pack for them to share is perfect. There's no expectation of more and no rows about who has the next one. It's one small pack between two - perfect.
I will buy these again, for the kids and for me and DH - we enjoyed them too.
Would recommend to other mums.

We got our delivery and tested the cakes - and they have been a steady staple in the shopping trolley since.
Mr Kipling never disappoints - very much does what it says on the tin. We found the cakes very enjoyable, moist and flavoursome. I like that they are individually packed - keeps temptation to a minimum (for the kids and me!!).
Have already bought again and recommended to friends. Also brought my mum a pack to try and she loved them.

I haven't had Mr Kipling cakes in ages, so I was really excited to take part in this trial.
The packaging is gorgeous, definitely stands out. And the kids love it too.
We went on a family picnic last week and these were absolutely brilliant to have - already packed up and just a case of throwing them in the bag. Perfect.
Kids really enjoyed all flavours, couldn't decide on a favourite - not surprised either, I thought they were all lovely.
Will buy again, and have recommended to mum friends.

Really really enjoyed this trial. Not sure I could select a favourite from the strawberry, chocolate & vanilla and banana - safe to say I'll be buying all three flavours again. The kids loved them too.
I think Mr Kipling always make good cakesa, and I especially like these ones for the kids as it's a small portion to share.
Have already recommended to mum friends, at work and to family.
