It’s no secret that Disney’s Frozen has become a family hit but who knew the film would come in handy for some firemen when it came to an unusual rescue scenario.

But that’s what exactly for Kaelyn Kerr in Massachusetts, America after she became trapped in a lift shaft.

The four year old was heading to a hair appointment with her mother and baby brother when they became trapped in a lift and the only out was up a ladder and over a high wall.

Kaelyn became frightened at the sight of the high wall but one fireman thought of a smart way to distract the four year old by talking about the hit film, Frozen.

The film distraction soon became a team effort when the other fireman began to play the hit song Let It Go on his phone and soon the two fireman began serenading Kaelyn with the Disney hit.

Fireman, John Keough  said: "It worked, we got her to a point where she was comfortable with us and up the ladder we went, right up and over, no problem."

Kaelyn’s mother Kristin said it was the "cutest thing" she had ever seen and that the firemen knew how to calm a four year old down.
