A popular chipper dashed to the rescue of an unwell customer recently – and we think they deserve some sort of award.
OK, OK, we realise we’re making it sound a bit like a high-octane action film scenario; they really just stopped at the Spar and brought her some Benylin Cold & Flu, but still.
Feeley's Fish & Chip Shop in Belfast received an order for food from the poorly customer, but it was the comments section that caught their eye.
“Will you please stop in Spar on the way and get me Benylin cold & flu tablets and I'll give you the money, only ordering food so I can get the tablets I'm dying sick xx,” the customer wrote.
And like the legends they are, not only did Feeley’s deliver her medicine, they invited her to pop in for a free meal when she was feeling better.
“We operate in a small community and the customer in question has used us several times before,” said Feeley’s. “She was delighted at receiving the medicine and we wish her a speedy recovery – our customers are the lifeblood of our business, and we will always do what we can for them.”
