Former star of Home and Away, Kate Ritchie gave birth to a healthy baby girl last night.
Best known for playing Sally Fletcher, Kate started working on the soap in 1987 at the age of just eight.. She starred in the soap for 20 years until 2008, making a brief comeback in 2013. She currently hosts a breakfast radio show on the Australian station Nova 100.
This is the first child for Kate and rugby player husband Stuart Webb. The couple married in 2010 after dating for two years.
The couple made the happy announcement on Kate’s Facebook page, writing:
“We welcomed our beautiful little girl into the world last night. She is doing very well, as is Mum."
"We happen to think she is perfect and we couldn't be more delighted."
The couple haven’t made public the name for their new daughter yet, but according to a list of baby names Kate shared on Instagram, Molly seems to be topping the list, followed by Lilly is second place.
It will be interesting to see what name makes the cut now that the baby girl is out in the world!
