They recently announced that they are expecting their second child, but it seems it has not always been plain sailing for Peter Andre and his wife, Emily McDonagh.
Peter, who is father to Junior and Princess with his ex-wife, Katie Price, and Amelia with Emily, has always been very focused on his family, so it comes as no surprise that he went into a deep depression following the death of his brother, Andrew in 2012.
The 43-year-old’s brother passed away after a brave battle with cancer, and Peter struggled to cope after his passing.
Talking to OK! magazine, the dad-of-three said he really hit rock bottom and thought Emily would leave him.
"When I hit rock bottom I thought Emily was going to leave me. She told me how difficult it was to be in the house with me. I said to her at the time: 'Go, you don’t have to deal with this with me.' But she said: 'No way, I’m in this for the long haul.'"
“I guess you’ve got two options. Option one, you let me go. Go and do what you have to do. And if I ever get through this hell, and you feel like talking, we can talk. Option two, you stick with me through this,” he explained.
"She was so matter of fact about staying, so I knew straight away that I’d spend the rest of my life with her. If someone doesn’t argue with you when you’re at rock bottom and you’re shutting them out, you can get through anything."
Talking about becoming a dad for the fourth time, Peter recently said that he is hoping for a boy this time to balance things out.
“Everyone wants a girl except for me - I’m the only one that wants a boy.
“Princess wants a girl and Junior wants a girl because he wants to be the only special boy, even though I’ve told him he always will be.”
