Cutting the cake isn't usually a reason for a meltdown. But it was this time.
That’s because this particular cake was a gender reveal prop. With her mum holding her hand, the child cut the cake down the middle and was not a bit happy with what was inside.
What was it? Well, a load of blue!
“I thought it was gonna be a girl,” she whines, already on the brink of tears.
Her mum and off-screen dad try to rescue the situation.
“You’re going to have a baby brother, it’s going to be exciting,” they say, but it’s too late. The little one is crying her eyes out.
The clip, which has gone viral, ends with mum offering daughter a slice of cake to make her feel better about the disappointing news. That doesn’t do the trick either.
Well, she’s got a few months to get used to the idea. Let’s hope time’s a healer, as they say.
