James Corden surprised us all on his recent episode of the Late Late Show when he performed a rendition of a musical classic.

Almost every parent has heard the kid’s song Baby Shark what feels like a million times over. At almost two billion views, the catchy tune has gone viral and even caused Youtube dancing challenges.

But, thanks to James, we finally have a version for adults that will not make us want to pull our hair out.

Calling it the song that “defines a generation”, the talk show host opens the tune with a soft piano melody and slows done the usually upbeat rhythm.

“A song that unites us all together in beautiful harmony,” he adds to the drama. “Why should this song just be for kids?”

Sipping a martini, James begins to sing a classy, smooth version of the hit single.

He is quickly joined by Mummy Shark, aka Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones, whose long, black dress glides across the stage.

“But what about Daddy Shark?” the two ask, building suspense.

Well, Daddy Shark enters the stage with gusto as none other than the legendary Josh Groban.

The You Raise Me Up star sings along to the words with powerful vibrato in a sophisticated suit.

The audience breaks out into laughter and applause as he is followed by a crowd of back up dancers dressed in shark masks.

Then the trio join on stage in a lovely harmony gathered around James on the piano, but even they could not resist giving the children what they want for long.

Making the well-known hand motions, James, Sophie and Josh danced along to the original version at the end of their rendition.

An entire gospel choir joined in to the upbeat rhythm making the song version absolutely legendary.

Finally, there is a version of Baby Shark even us parents can appreciate. Thanks, James!
