Want to make something chocolatey for Easter with minimum effort? Look no further than these Rocky Road Easter Nests, which your kids can almost make themselves.

After that, it involves just breaking up of the shredded wheat, bashing the biscuits, mixing in the chocolate, filling the cases and of course decorating.

Simples!

Ingredients: (makes 16)

8 shredded wheat (full size)

4 digestive biscuits

2 handfuls mini marshmallows

2 handfuls sultanas

200g chocolate

Jelly beans to decorate

Method:

1. Break up the shredded wheat into a large mixing bowl with your fingers.

2. Break up the digestives into little pieces. Stir them into the shredded wheat, along with the marshmallows and sultanas.

3. Break the chocolate into small bits. Put in a heatproof bowl and melt in the microwave on full power for about 30 seconds. Then remove and stir. Continue to melt for a further 30 seconds, stirring in between until it's nice and smooth.

4. Pour the melted chocolate into the bowl of shredded wheat. Mix it up until everything is evenly coated.

5. Put 16 silicone cake cases into a couple of bun trays so the nests keep their shape.

6. With a teaspoon, fill silicone cake cases with the mixture, press each one down in the middle to create the nest effect.

7. Pop three jelly beans in the middle of each nest and then put them in the fridge for about an hour to harden.

(FYI: This could also be made with white chocolate, if you got the urge!)
