When a seven-year-old Charlotte Benjamin’s letter to Lego went viral, people listened. The little girl complained about how there were “barely any lego girls”, and how “all the girls did was sit at home, go to the beach, and shop, and they had no jobs but the boys went on adventures, worked, saved people, and had jobs, even swam with sharks”. The Denmark based company must have appreciated the feedback as they decided to make some changes.

They have now approved designs for a ‘Research Institute’ kit which will have a line of all female characters, including an astronomer, a paleontologist and a chemist.

We love this new design – well done to Charlotte for voicing her opinion.
