Phoenix Chi, who is now 15 years old, was on hand last night to cheer her mother on as she turned presenter for the MOBO Awards in London.
Sharing a photo of herself kissing and hugging her mum, Phoenix wrote a touching Instagram dedication to the Spice Girls star, which read:
“I honestly can't tell you how proud I am of this women [sic]. I'm speechless of how hard she's worked her A** OFF her whole life to achieve all of her goals and I'm so glad to call her my mother.”
Clearly the X Factor judge was overwhelmed by the support she received from her firstborn, and she responded by regramming the post, writing: “Ahhhhh Phoenix, I’m speechless. Making me cry right now.”
Phoenix has been showing her support for Mel quite a bit of late, accompanying her to X Factor rehearsals last week to check out her acts.
It’s lovely to see how close the two ladies are!
