With three kids under the age of three, you would think that blogger, Amy Cooper has enough on her plate - but not so for this 22-year-old. While Amy loves being a stay-at-home mum to her kiddies Maisy, Bella, and Lottie, last year, she decided that she wanted to do something for herself, and Everything Mummy was born. Admitting blogging has gone from a little hobby to a real passion, in it Amy writes about all things parenting.
We caught up with Amy who was delighted to reveal her parenting secrets to us.
What is the most important thing you have learned since becoming a mum?
Probably how to keep going, stay, strong and have patience - okay that's three, but they all mean the same to me. Parenting is tough; my three girls are very close in age and at one point I was going through potty training, teething and newborn at once. You just have to keep going put a smile on and stay patient!
What's the most ridiculous/hilarious/unbelievable thing your child has done?
Which one... they're all pretty nuts! The one that stands out happened when I had a friend and Bella disappeared off very quietly. When I went to investigate, I found her applying all of my friend’s posh, expensive make-up in a corner - thank God she laughed about it. Although now she doesn't leave her bag lying around when she pops over!
What's the weirdest thing you've said/done as a parent?
I find myself often saying, "don't you put that raisin up your nose." It's happened one too many times now!
Name one thing you do that helps keep you sane?
Baby and toddler groups. I was the first of my friends to have children so it's nice to make friends with people in the same boat and also give the kids time to run off some steam.
What is the best piece of advice you would give to other mums?
Be consistent and have routine, in my opinion children need routine and so do I.
If you had to choose just one thing that you absolutely love about being a mum, what would it be?
Early morning cuddles in bed all together before the sun has even risen - they are some of the most special moments to me. I love them.
