Lynn McDonald brought her mum and two daughters out for a treat over the weekend to a restaurant in Tallaght, County Dublin.

But Lynn’s youngest daughter Daisy is suffering from a life-limiting condition and hasn’t been doing very well of late.

Hoping to make it out for an hour to enjoy some quality family time, their meal was cut short when little Daisy took a turn.

Clearly distressed and in pain, Lynn took Daisy out of her carrier, trying to soothe and calm her little one.

But what happened next, was the last thing the mum expected to happen.

The manager of the Nando’s chain went out of his way to replace the mum’s cold uneaten meal, no questions asked.

However, Mum was unable to eat her meal as she had to leave quite quickly with her tot, but she stated:

“This was really a gesture that was appreciated and so welcomed at a difficult time.”

In a post to Nando’s Tallaght Facebook page, Lynn pointed out that very often people are quick to criticise customer service for wrongdoing, but she felt:

“I can't thank the staff enough for the kindness, compassion, and customer service, on behalf of myself and Daisy, THANK YOU.”

And users were quick to chime in on their experiences too:

Isn't this story just lovely? Well done to the manager and team, we hope Daisy is feeling much better too.
