It’s concerning that we have had to share so many of these posts in recent times, but it’s so important to get them circulating and raise safety awareness for families around the UK.

A Bournemouth mum has urged parents to be vigilant, after her 13-year-old daughter was ‘approached’ by a man while sitting in a car alone, waiting on her father.

According to local news, the teen was waiting in the car park of Tesco Express in Pokesdown Hill when the incident occurred, on Monday morning. Her father was taking money out of the nearby cash machine, when she was approached by the unknown man.

The girl reacted instinctively by locking all of the car doors, and the man left the scene before her father returned to his car.

The incident was confirmed by Dorset Police, with a spokesman stating: “The incident has been investigated by officers, however it is not believed any offences were committed."

This teen did the right thing by locking herself into the car. Let’s hope that the area is now safe following the police report.
