A grieving mother from Birmingham, England has issued an emotionally-charged appeal this week, urging the man who ran away from the scene of a car crash to come forward.
The unnamed 25-year-old was eight weeks’ pregnant when the Ford Fiesta she was driving collided with a Vauxhall Astra. Her two sons, aged two and four, were also in the car at the time.
The crash occurred on Sunday, April 2, in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, and led to the mother miscarrying her baby. Her sons, meanwhile, had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, the male driver of the other vehicle ran away from the scene, and police have been searching for him ever since.
In a fresh appeal, the mother herself has pleaded with the driver to come forward and face up to what he was involved in.
The Birmingham Mail quotes the mother as saying: “I just want them to face what they’ve done. I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what me and my family are going through. I’m scared that they are out there driving.”
Anyone with information that could help the police with their investigation is asked to get in touch either via the 101 number, or with Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
