I have gorgeous 3yo girl with my fiancé and an amazing 9yo girl with my ex-husband. My life is fine and my fiancé is good to me (but sometimes feels like another child) and tells me I’m the love of his life. However I’m still in love with my ex and recent events have made things complicated.
We got together in college and our friend who introduced us got married last month. We both went to the wedding (my fiancé looked after the girls at home) which involved an overnight stay. We ended up staying up until 7am and fell asleep in the same bed (nothing happened) but he told me he was still in love with me and I told him I felt the same.
He wants me to give it another go with him and is willing to break up with his current partner. Part of me really wants to but the reason we broke up is that we fight all the time. We’re great as friends and as a couple we’re very passionate together but 80% of our time is spent screaming at each other.
My current relationship is probably healthier, but he’s more like a friend than a lover and I don’t know if it’s right. It just feels like we're roommates and I can't remember the last time I wanted to have sex with him. But with the kids involved, I don’t want to break up one home, try again with an ex, get our daughter’s hopes up and then have it fail again.
Does anyone have any advice?
