Mum's hilarious photos perfectly capture life with a little one

Last year, one artist caused ripples when she released a series of darkly comic photos that captured how she really felt about motherhood.

Now, a photographer has shared her candid take on living with little her little one – and it’s both apt and hilarious!

Self-taught photographer Anna Angenend, from San Antonio, Texas, said she took the photos to capture a more realistic take on daily life as a mum, as opposed to the usual posed-for portraits that we present to the world.

In images that you will be only too familiar with, Anna is seen buried under a mountain of messy clothes, walking in on her daughter Mia experimenting with makeup, and in our personal favourite, sitting with a hoover and mask beside the sand pit.

“Being around a two-year-old 24/7 is an endless amount of inspiration for a new photo. If I couldn’t laugh at some of the ridiculous situations I’ve been put in, I might just go a little crazy,” said Anna.

She added: “A very accurate depiction of mom life would be me, stressed out while she [Mia] is having a meltdown, screaming in the grocery store!”
