Town and Country Kiddies Nursery in Market Rasen had been downgraded after concerns that the children were not learning about diversity.

Ofsted has since withdrawn the report accusing the nursery of cultural diversity failings.

They initially reported that the nursery was not providing enough chances for the kids to “learn about the people who are different from themselves.”

These comments were enough to lessen the reputation of the nursery but it was made even worse by Ofsted downgrading them from an “outstanding” to “good” level nursery.

Louise Davies, owner of the nursery, told local paper Market Rasen Mail that the findings were a result of the lack of cultural diversity in that community.

“It comes with living in the community where there isn’t a great deal of cultural and ethnic diversity.

“They’re not seeing that on a day-to-day basis, unlike nurseries in London where they do have it on a day-to-day basis.” She said.

The education watchdog has now confirmed it has withdrawn the report for review following Louise’s points.
