According to a statement on the MMRT’s official Facebook page, all members of the group have recovered after treatment.

The teens themselves came in for great praise from the rescuers, who wrote: “Clearly, had it not been for the outstanding efforts of the young people in this group, this situation would have been much, much more serious.

“Due to the potential number of casualties involved tonight, we had the pleasure of being joined on the hill by two NIAS HART Paramedics and our Team Doctor. In total we had 23 team members respond and stood down at 0110 hrs,” they added.

Well done to all involved.

SHARE to give credit to the wonderful rescuers.
