David Beckham has been hit with backlash after he kissed his daughter Harper. The dad-of-four is known for being extremely affectionate with his children, but people have stated that he has gone too far, including controversial host Piers Morgan.
During this morning’s episode of Good Morning Britain, the presenter said that David was wrong to kiss his daughter on the lips.
He commented: “It’s very sweet…[But] why would a father kiss his daughter on the lips? Don’t get it – creepy. Weird.”
Piers continued to express his confusion as to why David would share the image online.
“Then you post that for the world – You posted that for the world, why? Weird, Weird, weird, it’s just weird,” he continued.
David has defended this action in the past. During a Facebook livestream he stressed: “I kiss all my kids on the lips. Brooklyn, maybe not. Brooklyn’s 18, he might find that a little bit strange.”
“I’m very affectionate with the kids. It’s how I was brought up and Victoria, and it’s how we are with our children,” the dad stated.
The sportsman continued: “We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and you know, we’re very affectionate with them.”
