Police in England have today said that they are growing ‘increasingly concerned’ for the welfare of missing teen Zahra-Mathew Evans.

The 16-year-old has been missing since Tuesday, February 16, and was last seen at her home in Angerming, West Sussex that afternoon.

Zahra is described as white Asian, 5ft 3in in height, with long, straight black hair. When last seen she was wearing black leggings, a white short-sleeved crop-top, and open-toe white shoes with a four-inch heel. It is reported that she does not have her mobile phone with her.

Police now believe that Zahra may be in Peterborough, and they have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.

Lead investigator Roy Hodder said: "We're increasingly concerned for Zahra as she has been missing for 48 hours now. She is young and vulnerable, and has no access to a mobile phone.”

"She is considered a high risk missing person as she may be sleeping rough and, given the recent cold spell, this is of significant concern,” he added.
