ORIGINAL REPORT:
Police in the UK have appealed for information after a 12-year-old girl went missing in the early hours of this morning.
Jasmine Coleman reportedly disappeared from her home in Lancing, West Sussex, and it is believed that she may be with an older man.
The 12-year-old was last seen in her bedroom at 11:30pm, where it is thought she was chatting to someone on FaceTime. By 2am, however, she was missing from her home.
Jasmine is described as white, 5ft 8in, with long blonde hair and blue eyes. In their description, police added that the girl is said to look older than her 12 years.
The authorities said that Jasmine may be wearing black riding trousers and a polo-neck top, or a Paisley-patterned backless dress.
Commenting after the information was released, a representative from Surrey Police said: "Latest inquiries suggest she may be in the Croyden area, but anyone who may have seen her or who has any information as to her possible whereabouts is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 145 of 21/3."
This is absolutely frightening, and highlights the importance of teaching our children about stranger danger. We will keep you updated on the story as it unfolds.
