Police in England have issued a public appeal for information, as the search continues for a missing mother-of-two.
Newcastle woman Margaret MacDermott, 50, went missing in the early hours of last Saturday morning, and her family are said to be increasingly concerned for her welfare.
According to reports, Margaret – who has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) – drove her blue Renault Captur to the Quayside area and abandoned it at around 5am. The car was later identified by police near Broad Chare.
Authorities have searched the area for any signs of Ms MacDermott, and now they are turning to the public - specifically anyone who may have been out in the area at the time she went missing - for help.
A police spokesman said: “Margaret’s family are understandably very concerned for her welfare and we are working hard to locate her safe and well.”

The missing mother is described as being 5ft 2in in height, of slim build, with short grey hair. When last seen she was wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers and white trainers.
