The last 24 hours have been the “worst and scariest” time of former Liberty X and Big Reunion star Michelle Heaton’s life after her baby Aaron Jay was rushed to hospital.
The mum-of-two, whose baby son is just five-weeks-old, broke the news on Twitter yesterday morning.
The 34-year-old – who already has daughter Faith with husband Huge Hanley - revealed that baby Aaron had been diagnosed with viral meningitis.
Symptoms of the condition are similar to the flu, and include fever, joint pain, nausea, headaches and a sensitivity to light.
Writing about the very worrying moments, Michelle tweeted, "The last 24 hours has been the worst and scariest in my life. With everything I've been through mentally and physically."
“Nothing compares to that of when your baby is sick,” said the pop star. “Our beautiful baby boy is being looked after in hospital after being diagnosed with viral meningitis. And reflux disease just to top it off. "
Michell said she and her husband have been left in a state of panic and added, "He's fighting strong & taking the antibiotics well so far. But at only 5 weeks old one can only imagine our @hughhanley distress as parents".
She added, "Hopefully we will be able to take our little man home soon. I'm sure we will."
