Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley announced the happy news last month that she and fiancé Tom Pitfield were expecting their first child.
Now it has been revealed that the couple are going to have a baby boy.
The news was leaked on Twitter as friends of the pair congratulated them on soon welcoming a boy to the family.
Chris Grimes, director of Bitten Magazine and a friend of Catherine tweeted:
“Nice seeing you and the bump. I fully expect him to be on Broadway by the time he is 3 haha.”
Other friends of the couple tweeted “Really pleased for you both. Another boy in the family” and “Congrats on the L’ll man”.
There’s been no comment on this by Catherine or Tim, so maybe their friends weren’t supposed to tell. Oops!
Catherine, who plays barmaid Eva Price on the soap, is the third star of the show to reveal she is pregnant in recent months, which could spark huge dramatic rewrites.
Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz Stape announced her pregnancy in May this year and Paula Lane, who plays Kylie Platt, is due to have her first baby at Christmas.
