When your children lose their mother, it’s important to ensure that her memory and her legacy are kept alive, and that is exactly what this doting father is doing.

Six years after Jade Goody’s tragic death, her former partner, Jeff Brazier, has revealed how he and their sons remember the reality star.

In an emotional interview on Good Morning Britain, the TV presenter admitted that he and sons Bobby and Freddie set aside a special day every month to honour the late Jade.

“On the 15th of each month, that’s ‘mummy’s day’. We can talk about her obviously at any time, and we do; but the 15th of the month means we are particularly focused on it,” said Jeff.

He added: “We will release balloons or we’ll write letters and post them, whether they think they are going to get there or not – it doesn’t matter, it’s expressing. It’s writing those memories down, those thoughts and those feelings, and even if it’s sad and something that you perceive as being negative, it’s not hurting them.”

Jeff said that his boys are doing ‘incredibly well’ following the devastating loss of their beloved mother, and credited the charity Grief Encounter with helping them to process her passing.

Former Big Brother star Jade died in March 2009, following a battle with cervical cancer.
