Celebrity chef and Ready Steady Cook star Ross Burden has passed away at the age of 45.
Burden became a household name after appearing as a finalist on Masterchef in 1993. He was diagnosed with a form of leukemia last year and recently underwent a bone marrow transplant. Sadly, the New Zealand native passed away on July 17th in his home.
His sister Karen Hughes has spoken out about her brother:
“He's just a friendly, compassionate guy - nothing was too much trouble. He was my big, fantastic incredible, larger-than-life brother.
'”Right up until probably a week-and-a-half ago, he was making his next lot of plans. He had the world map out.”
