Travelling with your family can be tricky at the best of times. Trying to pack your children’s suitcases is a mission, especially when they insist on bringing every teddy bear they own on holidays.

Planning a getaway can leave us feeling so frazzled that we end up having nightmares about how much sunscreen we should bring and whether our travel insurance is up to date or not.

Packing may be stressful but making our way through security at the airport is another thing.

We’ve all made the rookie mistake of leaving a Capri-sun at the end of the baby-changing bag, only to be asked 101 questions by airport security. We know they’re only doing their job, but the last thing we need is to be quizzed about fruit juice when we’ve got a small army of children to get through Terminal 1.

When we finally reach the plane, we are hit with a wave of relief. Many mums will often feel like doing a little victory dance, however, others aren’t as lucky.

Flying may be an exciting experience for some kiddos, but others don’t enjoy it whatsoever. Many kids will scream, and cry with snot and tears dribbling down their rosy red cheeks for the entire flight.

We know it can be irritating for fellow passengers, with a shocking number of people suggesting that planes have a separate section for parents and their kids.

In a recent study conducted by Airfarewatchdog, an overwhelming number of passengers admitted that they would pay extra to sit in a kid-free zone.

Tracy Stewart of Airfarewatchdog told Business Insider: "It would be great if an American carrier would give it a shot, but I would be surprised if anyone takes it on."

What do you think, mums?

Should parents have to sit in a special section of the plane if they’re travelling with their children? Or do you think people are being unreasonable?
