While the media is full of stories of mums finding out they are expecting an hour or two before giving birth that definitely wasn’t going to happen to singer Samantha Mumba.

The 31-year-old, who is expecting her first baby with her husband Torray Scales, has revealed that she knew that she was pregnant on the night she conceived.

"The night we conceived we just knew. I even bought a pregnancy test just to have on hand in case," she said.

The mum-to-be has opened up about her impending arrival admitting she was “embarrassed” about not wanting kids because she didn’t want to give up her child-free life and her last minute trips to Las Vegas. However, she admits that “fate intervened” and she is now expecting a little girl this year.

And like most mums-to-be, the Body to Body singer has been suffering from morning sickness, but she has been managing the nausea by sticking with Irish favourites: "The only thing that made me feel better were Irish sausage sandwiches, chipper chips, Meanies, Cadburys Golden Crisp and Club Lemon,"

The singer is due early this year and we can't wait to find out what name she has chosen for her little girl.
