She’s dolled-up to the nines every weekend as she competes on Strictly Come Dancing, but singer Frankie Sandford admits that it’s all about relaxation and quality family time when she gets home to her son, Parker.

In a recent interview with the Mirror, the 25-year-old says that she has swapped the glitzy nights out for quiet nights in – and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Mum Frankie is a lot more relaxed. She doesn’t have make-up or heels on – I never thought that would be me,” she explains.

“We spend my days off together, lazing around the house or going for walks – I don’t usually let them [husband Wayne, and Parker] go off without me when I’m home!” she adds.

Frankie, who previously battled depression, also opened up on her concerns for her young son, saying that her biggest hope is that he won’t have to “worry like I have done”.

The singer said: “Even as a kid, I was a worried and I have always cared too much about what other people thought of me. I hope he’s laid-back like Wayne.”

Frankie is currently winning over viewers on Strictly Come Dancing, with her fancy footwork on the dance floor winning rave reviews from the judges and fans alike.
