Mum Zowiie Williams was upset to learn that her six-year-old son Callum had been mean to a girl at school and decided to pull him up on it right away.

Mum believes: “It's our job as parents to make him understand how saying things out of anger and upset can make others feel.”

Six-year-old Callum had upset a girl at school after another boy told him what to say and do.

Zowiie was sad to learn of the incident, which led her to sit down and talk with her youngster on how to respect people, and not follow everything other people do.

And Zowiie decided Callum needed to apologise to the young girl:

“Today he is marching into school with flowers and an apology because I feel that we need to teach boys the importance of how they should react to certain situations.

“Callum now understands that what other people think or say should not sway him into acting like he doesn't care about other people's feelings. Especially a girl.”

Callum went to school, flowers in hand and apologised to the young girl he upset in front of his peers.

Zowiie believes that this is a learning step, which hopefully he will carry with him for a long time to come, and she is quite proud of her little man for apologising.

We think this a wonderful gesture by Callum, and well done to Mum for sitting down and explaining what he had done wrong too.
