Robert Vandenberg has been on military service in Afghanistan for the past 10 months, during which time he missed the birth of his son, Travis.
Wanting to give his family a special surprise, Vandenberg teamed up with the Anaheim Ducks hockey team on an early homecoming plan.
It all started when wife Patricia was handed a microphone during a hockey match and informed that Robert was sending a message to her via Skype from Romania.
Patricia was visibly disappointed when the announcer said that they were encountering some technical difficulties, but her sadness was short-lived when she turned around to find her husband standing behind her!
